SIGMOD Call for Demo Proposals
The SIGMOD Demonstrations program is an exciting and highly
interactive way to demonstrate your database systems research.
Because of its continued success, the demo program has become
increasingly competitive and well respected. Proposals of innovative
database system research are solicited. We encourage submissions that
describe how the demonstration system illustrates research
contributions.
Submission Guidelines

The deadline for demo proposals submission is Wednesday November
17th 2004, 8:59 PM PST. Papers must be submitted electronically
through the submission site.
Only demo proposals submitted through the official submission site
prior to November 17th at 8:59 PM will be considered for SIGMOD '05.
The submission site for demo proposals is:

Content, Length, and Formatting
It is the author's responsibility to make the submitted demo proposal is
readable, relevant, and interesting, before submission and
consideration by referees. This requirement includes legibility of
diagrams and quality of English.
Length: All submitted papers must be formatted according to the
instructions below, and must be no more than four (4) US letter
pages. This page limit includes all parts of the paper: title,
abstract, body, and bibliography.
File type: Papers are to be submitted as a single PDF file,
formatted for 8.5" x 11" paper. It is essential that submitted papers

configurations.
Formatting: Papers must use the ACM proceedings format, using one
of the templates listed at the ACM SIG Proceedings Templates web
site. Templates are available in Word, WordPerfect, and LaTeX
(versions 2.09 and 2e). For the LaTeX formats, you may use either the
standard style or the SIG-alternate style. Note: Although the ACM
templates include headings for "Categories and Subject Descriptors,"
"General Terms," and "Keywords," these are not used by SIGMOD and can
be omitted from your submitted demo proposal. Any submitted demo
proposal violating the length, file type, or formatting requirements
will be rejected without review.
Accepted demo proposals (one-page in length) will appear in the final
proceedings and are due by March 23, 2005.
