From New Jersey Turnpike (North or South)
Take exit 15W to route 280 and continue to the exit
marked "King Boulevard-Newark" or "MLK Blvd".
At bottom of the exit ramp, turn left and continue to 1st light.
At the first light, turn left and proceed to the first light.
Turn right onto University Avenue. After 2 traffic lights,
You will see the Ackerson Hall on the left.
From
Garden State Parkway (North or South)
Take exit 145 to Route 280 East, Newark-Harrison.
Once on Route 280, stay in the right-hand lane, following
signs for Harrison.
Continue to Exit 14A, King Blvd. Take this exit and make a
right at the 1st light onto King Blvd. At the first light, turn left
and
proceed to the first light. Turn right onto University Avenue.
After 2 traffic lights, you will see the Ackerson Hall on the left.
Route 280 East: FollowGarden State Parkway directions.
Route 280 West: Follow New Jersey Turnpike directions.
Route 21 North
Route 21 becomes McCarter Highway in Newark.
At junction of McCarter Highway and Raymod Blvd.,
(you will see the Don Pepe restaurant ahead on your
right.) turn left onto Raymond Boulevard.
Continue on Raymond Boulevard to the Washington
Street intersection.
Turn right on Washington Street, and proceed to Central
Avenue and turn left on to Central. At the first light, turn left onto
University Avenue. Ackerson is on your left.
Route 21 South
Make right turn on Clay Street and continue to
1sttraffic light.
Turn left and stay in right lane to next light.
Bear right where road splits and you will be on
University Avenue.
Take Routes 1 & 9 South (Pulaski Skyway) for 5 miles to the
"Newark and the Oranges" exit. This exit will put you on
Raymond Boulevard.
Continue on Raymond Boulevard past Penn Station - Newark
(on your left) for approximately 2 miles to the intersection of
Raymond Boulevard and Washington Street.
Turn right onto Washington Street and proceed to Central avenue.
Turn left onto Central and at the first traffic, turn left onto University
Avenue. Ackerson is on your left.
Follow signs to New Jersey Turnpike.
From the NJ Turnpike:
Take exit 15W to route 280 and continue to the exit marked "King
Boulevard-Newark".
At bottom of the exit ramp, turn left and continue to stop sign.
At stop sign turn left onto King Blvd.
Turn left at the first traffic light, and proceed to the light.
Turn right onto University Avenue. After two traffic lights, you
will see
Ackerson on your left.

From Penn Station-Newark to campus:
You may take a $4 taxi ride to campus
OR
Take the City Subway (entrance is by McDonald's) to
Washington Street (2nd stop) for 45 cents.
Take the left hand exit at the second stop.
After going up
the
stairs take the first right which is
University Ave. Cross the first light and also the Parking
Deck and you will find Ackerson Hall on your right.
Buses
Greyhound (1-800-231-2222) provides service to Penn
Station-Newark.
New Jersey Transit Bus Routes serve Union, Essex,
Morris, Passaic, Bergen and Hudson Counties, as well as
NYC, to Newark.
Newark Subway
From Penn-Station Newark take the City Subway
(entrance is by McDonald's) to Washington Street (2nd
stop). Fare is 45 cents.
Take the left hand exit at the second stop.
After going up
the

Deck and you will find Ackerson Hall on your right.
